English term

Deposit money bank

English to Spanish Bus/Financial Law (general)
Hi all,

I'm dealing with a paper about macroeconomics, and I am having trouble translating "deposit money bank". I believe that it is the same as a commercial bank ( https://thelawreviews.co.uk/title/the-banking-regulation-rev... but I was hoping that some of you could help me out.

Here's the context:

"...this study was carried out to determine the long-run and short-run impact of macroeconomic behaviour as measured by money supply, exchange rate, real interest rate, and credit to the private sector on DEPOSIT MONEY BANK LIQUIDITY in Nigeria as measured by liquidity ratio..."

Thanks for your help!

English term (edited): deposit money bank liquidity
Selected

la liquidez de los bancos de depósito de dinero (de tipo comercial nigeriano)

I agree that these banks overlap with 'bancos comerciales', though the first example sentence taken from the first weblink shows that a literal translation - recommended by my Madrid law office 'in cases of doubt' - is also usable.

Whether there are any practical differences and 'irregularities' ('trampas') compared with City of London merchant banking, I know not and am not at liberty to speculate about onlist.

Example sentence:

Sin embargo, algunas herramientas de política monetaria como la reserva de efectivo y los requisitos de capital se han utilizado para amortiguar el proceso de creación de liquidez de los bancos de depósito de dinero a través de la base de depósitos..

Liquidity in banks measures the rate at which current assets and other available resources are transformed into cash to satisfy liquidity

agree Luis M. Sosa : Strongly agree. Let me contribute: Deposit money banks are resident depository corporations and quasi-corporations which have any liabilities in the form of deposits payable on demand. https://stats.oecd.org/glossary/detail.asp?ID=592
