: I don't think this would be a likely interpretation for 'on-point', it's a bit of a stretch; plus I think it's too specific, I feel sure this is just another quality comment like 'meticulous'

: I find it really difficult to imagine how 'on' could be used like this in EN to basically mean 'to'; the fact that FR might use 'en' is possibly leading us astray here... And I also think this is too specific for the context here.
