I live in the North-Eastern United States. Do any of you know what programs are available in this area for medical interpreter certification?

California used to have a medical interpreting exam, administered by Cooperative Personal Services. However, the exam has not been given for the last two years (approx.) and there are currently no plans to resume it. Those who inquire about it are told to take Court Certification instead.
