Had an all-round (even clock- and watch-) repairman for a dad, who was a cousin of the late Van Doorne brothers who founded DAF. And I had a good science education before I went to the Radboud University (technical knowledge and insight).
Finally I went back to the Radboud University for my post-master teacher education (German).

In year 2000 she got her Bachelor's Degree as a Translator in Milan, Italy. She thought it a good idea to relocate abroad,... just to see what she had actually learned. To size her English, poor Daniela Colombo chose Ireland and the rain that greeted her was nothing, compared to the dumbfounded reaction of her brain once it realized she had probably landed in Norway (or, eventually, that she had been taught another language, which her teachers actually thought was English, but...oh, dear!).
Daniela Colombo worships working (and playing) with words (in any of the languages: italian, english, spanish, german, french and portuguese) . She has been typing on stacks and stacks and stacks of paper during her carreer as a translator and ghostwriter. Details about fields, customers, expertise etc., are just unnecessary details, i.e. boring, i.e. no way!
