I was born in the Netherlands and studied both science and languages. I moved to Italy in my early 20's and lived there for almost 12 years, until I moved to the north of Scotland.

My wife is Italian and so are my kids. I have no formal higher education in languages or as a translator, but most Italians I talk to for the first time, think I'm from Milan. And I've even corrected some of their writing. (Honestly !)

I've read English since I was 12 and have learned to speak it quite fluently over the years and some people in the UK think I'm an American at first. (Honestly !)

Apart from being fluent in Dutch, English and Italian, I can speak German (enough to communicate and read) and a little French as well.

Apart from languages, I'm skilled in working with computers and all kinds of software. I also build and design custom-made furniture and like to compose music.

I'm not a certified translator, but I'm a perfectionist in everything I do, so I'm certain I will provide an excellent service, especially for clients on a tight budget.
