I am an American expat living in Italy (Veneto) for the past 10 years.  In these years I have been working for a large multinational corporation where I gained important experience in professional translations and interpretation (incl. simultaneous).  

I have a deep love for literature in my private life which brought me to the realization that there is so much in the Italian culture that my own culture and the many other English-speaking cultures are missing out on.  My years living in Italy, immersed in Italian culture, combined with my American upbringing and love for literature gives me a unique advantage to translate projects in a more natural way.  My goal in translating is to remain respectful to the heart and soul of the original work.  This means that dialect and colloquialisms are handled with care so as to ensure that the reader of the translation is impacted in the same manner as the Italian reader is to the original work.
