Of course, he thought, if there are nineteen hundred Chinese, six hundred thousand of which would be adults, and if they ate, let’s say, half a pound of rice every day, the daily consumption would be seventy-five million kilograms of rice.

Noi ragazzi chiedemmo il permesso al nostro titolare di andare a vedere e lui disse di sì così andammo tutti. Una volta arrivati sul posto c’era tanta gente ma noi riuscimmo a passare davanti dove c’era Sophia. La circondammo e le chiedemmo un autografo e quando mi trovai davanti a lei tutto emozionato per avere la sua firma e lei mi chiese: “Dove la vuoi?”.
