I still have doubts about two words
One is 绿色食品. I personally know foreigners who use green food to refer to such kind of environmentally friendly foodstuff. Is it a coined word of the Chinese people or a translated version? I am confused.
The next is 绿化. Some people prefer using the word "greening". Is is acceptable to common foreign people?

A good reminder for those home-made "translation experts" here

But I presume the concept of "green food" is highly acceptable to native English speakers. "Green" does not necessarily refer to its color, but to its environment-friendliness. It is not a Chinese coinage.

Hi anistone - I don't know Chinese so I can't be sure exactly what 绿色食品 means, but if it is as you say "environmentally friendly food" I definitely wouldn't use "green food". In the US we generally refer to such food as "organic food."
