I have B.A.s in Linguistics, Geography and European Studies; M.A.s in Linguistics & Geography; coursework for Ph.D. in Geography; TESOL Certificate plus studies in translation, music and photography/video and have lived in U.S., Spain, Germany and Italy. I have spent many years interpreting in immigration courts, doing general phone interpreting, and translating and interpreting for Spanish, Mexican and French children's television productions. I have also edited, translated, written and supervised the writing of teacher's editions of bilingual, ESL and Spanish textbooks in reading, language arts, science and social science for elementary and secondary schools in the U.S. I am on the Translation faculty at NYU and am a Spanish-English interpreter evaluator. I have also conducted linguistic analyses for companies and supervised/written phrase/menu sections for guidebooks. I also taught composition for ESL students at the college level.
