Well, I think this is a problem of America publishing houses, In a certain sense I think there is some trend which results in the publishing of mainly always the same stuff... it is all about sells.

“Limited understanding of what publishers do and how the business works seems to be a major practical hindrance for many translators.”

No... literary translators often know more than publishing houses pretend to know, but they are not considered!
