Recently, I saw an update on ProZ's Virtual Conference section regarding Lawyer-Linguist Virtual Conference. Can anyone help me whether such conferences are also organized for Software or IT Translators?

Hi Akhil, we do organize different events...typically at the request of & in conjunction with an organization or individual working in that arena. Suzanne Deliscar, a Lawyer-linguist helps organize the event. If there was interest, and an individual willing to organize a virtual event for Software/IT translation/localization that would be something I would consider.
