You should read the whole article before posting. The source documents were government forms to request federal disaster assistance. The "translation" was random words and phrases copied from an old book that had nothing to do with the source text.
And, two of the texts were translated into the wrong languages. The Alaskan Yu'pik text was translated into a dialect of Yu'pik that is only spoken in Russia. The Iñupiat text was translated into Inuktitut, which is a Canadian language. All four these languages are "Eskimo" languages, though.

Iñupiat has 2000 speakers. Yu'pik has 20 000 speakers. Both languages are "official languages" of Alaska, but so are about 10 other languages, and we don't know what is meant by that. Some countries that have "official languages" have them only in name.
