Hi, can anybody help me in understanding how to use DVX2 for translating in Chinese? I select the Yi icons but with the pretranslation the program does not translate anything at all. Is it also possibile to use the ideograms or should I only translate with the semplified Chinese? Thanks
Davide

Hi Davide, You don't tell us what databases (translation memory / termbase) you have connected to the project. If you have no databases, it is only natural for DVX2 to do nothing when it pretranslates. If you want a machine translation program, you will need to obtain one, and not a TM program like DVX2. Perhaps the Google Translate module in DVX2 would help, but you need to get a licence from Google before you can use it as a DVX2 plug-in, and this is only useful if you are really using DVX2 as a TM program (otherwise you could just use Google Translate via the Web). If you have databases connected to the project and are still getting no results, perhaps you could explain in detail what you have done so far. With the information you provide in the first posting, we can only guess. ▲ Collapse
