Born in Baghdad/ Iraq, I grew up speaking Arabic natively. I studied Arabic besides English for about 14 years. Then I got my profisional high degree in translation and interpretation (AR-EN) in 1993. I have worked as English teacher and interpreter for 7 years in Iraq and Jordan. I moved to The Netherlands on 1995. Besides Arabic and English I studied and learned Dutch also. I added this new language to my translations starting from 2014. My Arabic is standard modern Arabic, but through my work in The Netherland as interpreter I have learned to speak and understand almost the rest Arabic dialects. The most Arabic translations hier in The Netherland could have been beter. Actually I am not satisfied about these translations. The Arabic that has been used in these translations, I could easily say, is not Arabic. I can give exambels even from official Dutch sites. |
