an excellent answer
liz askew Oct 11, 2010:
Salpingitis isthmica nodosa. (SIN)
or seen in obstetrics
this is all I can come up with.
liz askew Oct 11, 2010:
Is the patient pregnant? All I can think of is "seen in obstetrics". The only other thing I have found is SIN = Salpingitis isthmica nodosa. (SIN)

left-sided hydronephrosis under observation / to be monitored

'sin' is most likely the abbreviation of 'sinister' (left), and 'in obs' stands for the Latin 'in observatio', meaning that the patient should be monitored for the progression of this condition.
This is how 'in obs.' is used in Hungarian medical reports.
