Estoy traduciendo una presentación sobre tratamientos de la diarrea persistente. Anexos a una de las láminas titulada "farmacocinética de xxx", aparecen los siguientes comentarios:

"-The majority of the active metabolite, YYY, concentrates in the GI tract rather than in the bloodstream
- The fact that two thirds of the oral dose is excreted in the stool indicates a high concentration of drug passing through the GI tract
- This is a desirable characteristic for **activity against intraluminal pathogens**
- Peak concentrations of YYY are reached quickly, and it is eliminated within 12 hours
- YYY is also partially excreted in the bile; this is important because pathogens can invade the biliary tree"

Existen sólo dos referencias en internet para "patógenos intraluminales", por lo que asumo que se debe traducir de otra manera. En la literatura, sólo logré encontrar "intraluminal stent" que se traduce simplemente como stent o endoprótesis vascular. Muchas gracias por adelantado
