الفرفرة

Arabic to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
Hi everyone,

This is from a Sudanese text.

Does this mean squirming?

وكما لو أن تلك الفرفرة أغاظته أكثر، فغرز سن مديته الحادة في عنق الشاب الذي شخر بقوة وتدفقت دماؤه غزيرة>

Thank you.

Death twitch - Postmortem reflex - Agonal gasp - Final convulsion

These terms all refer to the involuntary movements that occur in the body after death. These movements are caused by the release of energy from the dying cells. The movements can be anything from a slight twitch to a full-blown convulsion.

Squirming/thrashing

I think it has the same meaning we use in the Egyptian dialect, which is thrashing about or squirming.
