Thank you Ibrahim for the link, I actually came across it earlier, what you suggested is v. good, I agree with it.
Ibrahim Sabry Feb 20, 2015:
you understood it totally right, but if you have a look on the article itself, it's talking about the fact that using electronic parts in the modern engines is not so good after all, and using more mechanical parts (the past) is more reliable.

Nancy Eweiss Feb 20, 2015:
Yes, Ibrahimsabry it is very good to say:
Ibrahim Sabry Feb 20, 2015:
Nancy Eweiss Feb 20, 2015:
It seems from this context that it does not have any technical or scientific implication. The writer wants to say: ''people tend to think in a romantic way about car engines in the past, and they are right to'. This is how I understand it. In which case you may say:

This is my opinion, and I would like to hear the opinions of our colleagues a well.
LZA18 (asker) Feb 20, 2015:
Ok.
People tend to romanticise the simplicity of the past, and where car engines are concerned, they'd be right to
Nancy Eweiss Feb 20, 2015:
query about the context to the asker: OK LZA, if the context is scientific, then could you please provide us with some more context? 'romanticize', simply means 'to make romantic', especially in a phrase like: romanticize the past. Thank you LZA

How does this word mean " يتغزل. ر"؟ It's science and technical paragraph.

IF one of the uses of romanticize is: to change, alter, modify
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/romanticize

then how about: /يقوم بتعديل/ تغيير/ تبديل/ تحويل
something like that. It all depends on the context, as this is not the primary use of 'romantic' anyway as all peers suggested

romanticism
