Las respuestas justificadas con frases del tipo "así lo diría yo" y "suerte!" siempre me han caído como una piedra en el estómago y deberían ser condenadas al ostracismo. Permítaseme entonces elaborar mi respuesta.

Según Wikipedia, existen tres métodos de privatización:

• Share issue privatisation (SIP) - selling shares on the stock market
• Asset sale privatisation - selling the entire firms or part of it to a strategic investor, usually by auction or using Treuhand model
• Voucher privatisation - shares of ownership are distributed to all citizens, usually for free or at a very low price.

En las dos primeras, es posible ir vendiendo la empresa por partes para conformar una privatización gradual. De allí que sea posible aprovechar un mejor precio futuro (el concepto de upside), pero también que sea factible que el precio de compra baje debido a que la empresa no se está vendiendo en su totalidad (el concepto de lower value realisation).

En síntesis, el concepto de venta gradual o incremental está relacionado con el de privatización gradual o incremental. Sin embargo, recomiendo que utilices "gradual", dado que ocurre con mayor frecuencia (buscando únicamente en páginas en español):
