I have not heard "racunalo" in ages. I do not think anyone uses that term any more. You are right, Russ, it is derived from "racun" or "racunati". And, yes! The "c" does have a diacritical mark on top.
I am just guessing here. Could it be a "calculator", by any chance?
I agree with Saraj. Many people in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia say "kompjutor", too... But, I always took it as an incorrect way to say "kompjuter".
