Zemrën e lamë peng

Non-PRO Albanian to English Art/Literary Other
I'm having great difficulty trying to find a good English equivalent for this. It's the title of a song.

Nate pas nate ne
Rrahje pas rrahje
Ne të larguar
Por jo nuk mundëm
Se zemrën të dy e lamë peng
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (2): Elvana Moore, Ledja

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

We pawned our heart away/ Our heart we pawned away

At the risk of being too literal in translation, I still stand by this version. You'll find that there are many google hits for this phrase, most aiming (and succeding) to have a literary/poetic sound to them. Check the link below - that's where the sentence examples came from.
Also, there's apparently a song titled: Don't pawn my heart away
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q="pawn my heart away"&...
Example sentence:

Having spent myself the greatest and the best part of my life in the Dutch colonial service and having pawned my heart to the welfare of the Dutch East ...

... turn it into one of those canned, readymade moulds into which we thrust our heads, and to which we pawn our hearts in search of comfort and security. ...
