I have a sentence describing symptoms of botulism in humans:
"Le botulisme se caractérise par des paralysies flasques, symétriques, sans atteinte du système sensoriel"
This seems to mean "without affecting the senory system", but everything I've read about botulism seems to imply that this would be the case. Am I misinterpreting this?

: It doesn't really matter whether botulism affects the sensory system or not: the ST says it doesn't, and, unless you want to take the trouble of checking with the client, it's safest to translate what's there.
