仕込んだonly means it is placed there for some processing. The text is saying that with this machine you can do both of 乾燥工程と焼成工程in the same machine without replacing the object to a different machine. Note that 仕込みdoes not refer to the processing itself. But it implies that something is placed somewhere to be ready for processing, which could take place just by sitting there, such as drying or fermentation.

"shikomu" means to prepare/mix ingredients for the processing of products (food, drinks, chemicals, etc. ) So, in this context, it would mean the materials are to be made ready or prepared (mixed, etc.) in the 焼成炉 for the next step which is the drying process.
So "suitably prepared" wouldn't be fudging it. :-)
