English term

one of her key people

English Marketing Marketing Networking
Ted placed a call on my behalf and cleared the way for me to call Patricia. I called Patricia and she put me in touch with ***one of her key people***, Maura. I called Maura, and we had a great conversation... After a few meetings we were able to scope out a program for their business unit. The company is now a client.

Is Maura's position in the organization higher than Patricia's, or is she one of Patricia's subordinates?

Discussion

Rafal Korycinski May 8, 2006:
Moim zdnaiem "her people" w tym kontekście bardzo sugeruje podwładnych.
Woodstock (X) May 8, 2006:
Sorry, I'm really stressed out at the mo. My comment was wrong, anyway, because I misunderstood your question. I just changed my KudoZ options to show English-English, so I'm still in German-to-English mode, my apologies. The answers are correct.
Woodstock (X) May 8, 2006:
Joanna Borowska (asker) May 8, 2006:
Thanks, Woodstock, pity I don't speak a word of German :o)
Woodstock (X) May 8, 2006:
Joanna Borowska (asker) May 8, 2006:
I don't know if that's important but Ted - the first person in this chain - is the senior vice president in that company.
