In a banking document, a bullet point within the fees this bank charges reads as follows: "xx Euro, per le operazioni decanalizzate (es. negoziazione di assegni per conto di residenti)". I feel really lost with this one. Any help is truly appreciated.

OPERAZIONI "CANALIZZATE" E "DECANALIZZATE"

Sono di norma "canalizzate" le operazioni il cui regolamento avviene per il tramite delle banche residenti; "decanalizzate" quelle regolate al di fuori del sistema delle banche residenti, nonché le fasi doganali delle operazioni mercantili con regolamento interamente posticipato oltre 60 giorni, ovvero "senza regolamento".
