Thank you Ivana and Tom, your links have been very helpful

The great Philip Larkin put it like this.... http://www.artofeurope.com/larkin/lar2.htm

Frase Hello Ivana,

thanks, it is an inference to the negative relation between conditions. I need to find an appropriate medical term.
Ivana UK Nov 25, 2008:
"Parenti serpenti" is also an Italian saying. But going back to the film, although it won't help with the translation itself, this link tells the story of the film:

Sounds hilarious!
Ivana UK Nov 25, 2008:
Italian film Hi Potra, "Parenti Serpenti" was the name of an Italian film (1992).

See below link:

Parenti Serpenti

Alternate Titles: Parents Serpents, Dearest Relatives, Poisonous Relations

Poisonous relations sounds good but really need more context. What is the article about? (I'm assuming this is the title of an article)

Dangerous Relations

Another book and film title might do the trick. I assume they are talking about relations between the two diseases.

grazie Ale!
agree Umberto Cassano : Yes, you're right. By the way Monicelli's film, which has nothing to do with that disease, is just brilliant. It is one of my favourites.

Diabolic parents

Non c'e' una traduzione parola per parola per l'anologia con il film di Monicelli. Vedi il link: http://www.cafebabel.com/ita/article/24860/mario-monicelli-d...

In inglese l'espressione piu' usata è "You can't chose your parents".

"Diabolic parents" e' la mia opzione che mi viene in mente per il momento.

Chiedo scusa per il refuso. Volevo dire "Diabolic relations"
Peer comment(s):

disagree Ivana UK : 'parenti' is 'relations' or 'relatives' NOT 'parents' (genitori = parents)

Si' Ivana, hai molto ragione. dalla premura ho scambiato "parenti" con "genitori". Grazie!
