French term

pālinisé

French to English Social Sciences History
Comme à l’epoque angkorienne, les quatre Maisons sont chacune dénommées par un nombre Sanskrit (désormais pālinisés: ek, do, trī, citva).

When I tried to google this, I came up only with references to Sarah Palin!

Discussion

Christopher Crockett Oct 3, 2012:
Google is right It's really, really hard to overcome the Temptation to come up with an English (or at least an American) verb, the definition of which doesn't somehow involve using "lobotomy" or "dumbing down" for this word. As in, "John McCain tried to Palinize the American public --and nearly succeeded."
