Italian term

prova C-G

Italian to English Medical Medical (general) neurology/stroke evaluation
This is at the beginning of a discharge report on a patient who was hospitalized for stroke. The anamnesi starts out:

"Giunge alla nostra osservazione per disequilibrio, dysmetria alle prove I-N e C-G a dx, ed ipostenia emisoma dx."

I can't figure out what this C-G test is (I-N has already been asked/answered here btw). Apparently they're done together in a neurology context: I found another example online: "EON: non deficit stenici, ROT scattanti in modo simmetrico, inesauribili i rotulei; Babinski dubbio a dx, prova IN normale, prova CG un po’ imprecisa a dx, adiadococinesia, nncc nella norma."

What does C-G (or CG) stand for in Italian in this context, and how do we say it in English?

heel-knee test

Hi Joseph, C-G stands for calcagno-ginocchio, where calcagno is another way to say tallone

prova calcagno-ginocchio

Ciao Joseph,

si tratta del test di coordinazione motoria che si fa durante l'esame neurologico: calcagno-ginocchio chiamato anche tallone-ginocchio
