French term
Les consommateurs peuvent **se faire plaisir avec du beau et du plus propre**
French to English
Bus/Financial
Business/Commerce (general)
marketing
The phrase is very bad in french (but I am not allowed to correct my client!) and I just want to know if it would do to translate it by 'To treat themselves to beauty and fairness" (suppressing the augmentative)
an alternative would be " To treat themselves to something beautiful and cleaner" the rest of the sentence means "without breaking the bank)

Merci mais ce n'est pas du tout le niveau de langue employé. c'est volontairement du langage parlé. Et que faire de "se faire plaisir avec"? |

enjoy something that is beautiful/attractive and cleaner
Not sure if beautiful or attractive better as I am not sure what sort of product is being referred to here. Can you explain why 'fairer' is an option? Perhaps more context would be helpful

Based on the context given, I don't think 'cleaner' works, perhaps the other answerer's 'environmentally friendly' or otherwise 'ecological' is better

Note from asker:
I used fairer to make a play on words (fair as honnest and fair as beautiful) but you are right I don't think it works here |

consumers can treat themselves to something nicer and newer
I like your use of "treat themselves." Unless the rest of your context gives you reason to believe that "plus propre" is definitely "environmentally friendly," I think that "newer" is an option. "More streamlined" would even have worked if this was something other than textiles.

writeaway
: hard to jump in with help in this sort of French text. We almost always have to guess, literal translations hardly ever work and imo we native Anglos often see this texts differently to the way native French speakers interpret them

customers can treat themselves to something nice and its greener too!
Another stab at it, along the same lines but trying to keep the colloquial tone.

Oops missing apostrophe - should of course read "it's"

the consumers can spoil themselves with ....
if you wish you could just say: The consumer can realy spoil themselves unashamedly without breaking the bank! or add whatever you want thereafter.
I understand that the term you are looking for is "se faire plaisir avec"

Consumers can treat themselves to something nice and feel good about it too!
Another interpretation, which keeps the colloquial tone whilst suggesting that the product is desirable and ethical.
Discussion
The problem is the tone: colloquial and I would'nt like to change that if possible
