Italian term
??? MODALITA' DI EROGAZIONE E PROFILI DI FIRMA
Italian to English
Bus/Financial
Finance (general)
banks
It's just a heading at the end of a long bank statement. The first word is missing, and I have no clue what the rest refers to.
Does anyone have any ideas of what at least part of it could mean?
Below this heading is a long list of data -companies' names, account numbers, and the like.
Thank you!

[Method/Platform] Provision of Services and Signature Profiles
I would have answered as Olivia if not for your additional comments.
I think that you may be looking at web/intranet based services. Therefore, we are talking about platform (how they are delivered) and authorisation (signature profiles). Signature profiles is a term used often in conjunction with electronic signatures and/or encryption/decryption.

Comment: "Thank you, Paul, for confirming what I thought was on the right track. I ended up using "Service Delivery," but I will keep your suggestion in mind in case they ask me to change the wording of it.
As for the second conjunct, yes, it must be "signature profiles." This expression occurs elsewhere in the text, so I guess it is a safe enough choice.
I would also like to thank all the other people that provided suggestions."

PAYMENT TERMS AND COMPANY PROFILES
erogazione can mean various things-distribution, output or payment. If it's a bank and it refers to their client base, the phrase probably just means:
PAYMENT TERMS AND COMPANY PROFILES
but need more context to be sure.
PAYMENT TERMS AND COMPANY PROFILES
but need more context to be sure.
Note from asker:
Thank you! That makes sense. The whole thing is about a specific service provided by the bank. I translated "erogazione" as "delivery" elsewhere -that is, service delivery. So, I guess here I could say "delivery terms &..." |
But why would translate "firma" as "compagnia"? Actually, it makes sense in the context, but, as far as I know, "firma" doesn't mean "compagnia/societa'" in Italian! |

Distribution Terms and Authorized Contacts
Distribution is more general and can be used to imply payment as well as the authority to issue/approve documentation which is itself implied in the Authorized Contact list.
These people have the level of authorization needed to approve or disapprove of banking transactions/loans
If you wanted to you could use the more specific "disbursment terms"but I feel that distribution may be better

Note from asker:
Thanks rfmoon. But as I told Olivia, this is not about payments. "Distributtion" would be OK, as it also applies to services (just like "distribuzione" in Italian). More importans, as I sadi, is the translation of the second conjunct. May ask you how you got to the translation you proposed? |
Sorry! "important - said"! |
Discussion
Have a look in here under profili di firma. I can only come up with 'authorised signatories (with) specimen signature(s)'
I think I'm actually happy with "delivery modalities," unless you have a better suggestion. The real problem is the second conjunct. I just don't understand what "profili di firma" means -though I obviously understand the meaning of the individual words! But I saw on Google that "signature profiles" is used in English, too. Could it be that they are the same thing? Can you think of anything better? Thank you!
