Nella terminologia Ms si trova spesso "Impostazioni di protezione predefinite" > "Default security settings".
Questo "Set" è un po' strano nella tua stringa, dovresi fornire qualche altra informazione se suggerisci "è concepito per funzionare con i livelli di sicurezza di default". Perché non dai tuttta la frase?
In linea di massima ti posso dire soltanto che preferisco sempre tradurre "default" con il termine italiano corrispondente, visto che esiste.

Anche la soluzione di Francesco mi sembra molto utilizzata; dipende molto dal contesto e dalle scelte dell'azienda.

credo che 'impostazioni di protezione predefinite' vada benissimo. Comunque eccoti maggiore contesto:
