This is one of the basic functions of Term adding in Trados and MemoQ. Why is it so that i have to "highlight either source or target term" and click "add term" (or use the shortcut) and write the "target or source term" manually in the term adding page?
Is there any way?

After selecting source term in source segment you do Ctrl+Alt+T or the Add Term button, then select the target term when this window is open and do Ctrl+Alt+T again.
Hope this helps.
Thank you,
John

Thank you, it worked this way, which is kinda a long way compared to any other cat tool. It feels like learning a new language with super difficult grammer to get used to it. What was the reason for them to disable highlighting both the source and target term,, only God knows i guess...

1. Highlight source term, press shortcut (Ctrl+Alt+T) 2. A dialog box will appear 3. Highlight target term , with the same shortcut (Ctrl+Alt+T) 4. The target term will be pasted in the relevant field of the dialog box
So no, the steps are not the same as in memoQ/Trados, but the end result is the same.
WFP4 lets you highlight both source and target terms, then hit shortcut (like in memoQ).
