I have post-graduate qualifications in science and engineering from University of London, have worked as a professional in a number of countries in the world including 6 years in Brazil with Royal Dutch Shell where I learned to speak and write Portuguese with 100% fluency and a near perfect accent (Brazilian). I have continued to work in Brazil on a consulting basis for the past ten years. This has include extensive document (legal and engineering) translation, proof-reading and simultaneous translation up to 8 hours a day Portuguese to English and vice versa. My consulting load has reduced in the last year or so and I now translate on a freelance basis.
