Professional Indemnity Insurance Autor vlákna: dawnpatriciad

I hope that this is not impertinent, but I am desperately seeking a Professional Indemnity Insurance policy that is tailored to the needs of a translator / language specialist. I have thus far received quotations from well-known insurance brokers, altough I believe these to be excessive due to the fact that the risks relating to translation are not understood. I would appreciate it if anyone could offer me any advice or leads in this respect. N.B. I am based in the U.K. Many thanks. | | | Taña Dalglish Jamajka Local time: 16:48 španělština -> angličtina + ... | dawnpatriciad Local time: 22:48 španělština -> angličtina + ... AUTOR TÉMATU
Dear Taña, many thanks for your rapid response. As it happens, I haven't yet explored the two possibilities that you propose, but I most certainly will! Have a lovely day, Dawn. | | | Have you tried your bank | Jan 26, 2009 |
Dear Dawn, If you have a business (as opposed to personal) banking account it might be worth contacting your business banking advisor for advice. In my case (HSBC) they could arrange indemnity insurance with a specialist broker. You would obviously need to check if their T&Cs met your needs, of course. HTH, Ronnie | |

Dear Ronnie, it just so happens that I also bank with the HSBC (have a business account), and they also offered me insurance, although I am not aware that it was via a specialist broker, rather from the HSBC and underwritten by a company called Hiscox. I was told that the premiums I had been offered seemed quite high - I was offered both a Gold and Silver option. However, if it is the case that this is what you were also offered, than I guess it is somewhat reassuring given that you... However, if it is the case that this is what you were also offered, than I guess it is somewhat reassuring given that you are a professional translator and appear to be satisfied with the quality of cover offered. Would you recommend this, then? Many thanks, Dawn. ▲ Collapse | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Professional Indemnity Insurance Protemos translation business management system | Create your account in minutes, and start working! 3-month trial for agencies, and free for freelancers!
