Возникновение в советской живописи т.н. "сурового стиля" и формирование в СССР художественного андерграунда ("советского нонконформизма") ознаменовали конец гегемонии соцреализма.

Поиск дал результаты (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_art), что попадается "severe style". Но, это ведь другое - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severe_style

Вот тут - http://www.rusmuseum.ru/eng/exhib/lenta/exhibition2006/exhib... - упоминается уже "harsh style"

Как же он будет правильно и понятно для носителей англ.?
