French term

conditionner

French to English Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology)
Under the heading "Mode Opératoire", and then the sub-heading
"Préparation d’un ordinateur et installation des logiciels XXX"

Processus de rattachment: Préparer, produire, conditionner et expédier

I know "conditionner" often means "to package" or "packaging", but that does not seem to fit here, as the text seems mostly considered with the procedure for setting up computers and their network connections.

So far I have :
Connection process: Set-up, creation, ?, and routing

I have considered perhaps using "customizing", or something along those lines.

I know this term has been posted before, but I wanted to get others' opinions on this specific context. Thanks.

It should read "the text seems mostly concerned with....",
not "considered with".

there's probably a more technical word that doesn't come to mind right now, but for me the idea is that this is the step when you choose different installation options like language, place of installment, full or partial installment etc etc.
I think customize would be good as well.

A synonym for "conditionner" would probably be "paramétrage" (configuration).
Peer comment(s):

agree MatthewLaSon : I'm wondering if "configuration" would be the right word here, too. So, I agree with that translation thusfar.

Thank you Matthew. I think that 'configuration' was the word I was originally looking for.
