: I think this is too literal, and an unusual meaning of "flatulent"- I wasn't aware of it. But I disagree with Ramey - your answer is technically correct.

Ramey Rieger (X)
: Sorry to disagree, but the substances are not flatulent, they induce flatulence. Flatulating substances would work.

I found this - https://www.dictionary.com/browse/flatulent. https://www.gutenberg.org/files/30478/30478-h/30478-h.htm "Potatoes, when eaten freely, are flatulent, but not inconvenient when eaten moderately".

[suggestion for the whole sentence]
"One way of reducing flatulence is to take the lid off the saucepan when you cook."
I have no idea what difference this makes, but perhaps someone can explain why!

This may need tweaking depends on what comes after it - the colon, and the lack of a period at the end, suggests it may be the first in a series of bullet points.

Rama Bhave
: Just wondering whether there is a difference between "Blähung" - flatulence in a person and "Blähstoffe " substances which cause it i.e. "flatulants". Hence also the term "antiflatulent"

I don't think you should translate Blähstoff literally - it makes the sentence too complicated..
