Having stayed on Skiathos many times and always in Agia Paraskevi over the last 10 years I have experience of many of the apartments that the resort has to offer, now maybe I've just been lucky or possibly Tripadvisor is doing its job, but I've yet to find a poor place to stay and of all of those Villa Maraki is right up there with the best. Don't misunderstand me, it's not a 5* hotel and it doesn't claim to be, but what it is though is a clean pleasant and very lovely environment to spend your holiday, which I have been more than happy to recommend to my friends having stayed there twice myself. Villa Maraki being in Agia Paraskevi for me is perfectly placed in the island, it has a wonderful beach, with a very calm and shallow sea, perfect for small children and is placed halfway-ish along the one main road, so not that far in to Skiathos Town on the bus which I've never found too unpleasant if a little crowded and equally a short cheap taxi ride home if you've enjoyed a late one in some of the many fantastic restaurants, bars and clubs! Just to say that even at the busiest of times the buses are no more crowded than a London tube ride and a lot more fun, also the main road is certainly not the M25, so please don't let other reviews put you off. Locally there is everything you need day and night all within a 5-10 minute stroll. Villa Maraki epitomises Skiatos, beautiful, clean, friendly and a perfect holiday destination, which I thoroughly recommend! Please note I did not stay as stated in July 2012 actually it was a couple of years previous, but site did not allow this option.		Translation - Greek
Έχοντας μείνει στη Σκιάθο πολλές φορές τα τελευταία δέκα χρόνια και πάντα στην Αγία Παρασκευή, έχω την εμπειρία από πολλά διαμερίσματα, που το θέρετρο έχει να προσφέρει. Τώρα, ίσως να ήμουν απλά τυχερός ή το Tripadvisor να κάνει τη δουλειά του, αλλά ακόμη δεν έχω βρει ένα άσχημο μέρος να μείνω, κάτι που ισχύει για όλες τις βίλες της Villa Maraki, αφού είναι μέσα στις καλύτερες. Μην παρανοήσετε τα λεγόμενα μου, δεν είναι ένα ξενοδοχείο πέντε αστέρων και δεν υποστηρίζει ότι είναι, όμως είναι ένα καθαρό, ευχάριστο και αξιαγάπητο περιβάλλον για να περάσεις τις διακοπές σου, το οποίο και πρότεινα πρόθυμα στους φίλους μου, έχοντας μείνει εκεί δύο φορές. Η Villa Maraki στην Αγία Παρασκευή, κατά την άποψή μου, είναι σε τέλεια θέση στο νησί και έχει μια εκπληκτική παραλία με ήρεμα ρηχά νερά, τέλεια για μικρά παιδιά. Βρίσκεται στα μισά του κεντρικού δρόμου, άρα δεν είναι πολύ μακριά από την πόλη της Σκιάθου με το λεωφορείο, το οποίο δεν βρίσκω ιδιαίτερα δυσάρεστο, αν και λίγο συνωστισμένο, ή μία αντίστοιχα φτηνή διαδρομή με ταξί, αν γυρίζεις αργά έχοντας απολαύσει κάποιο από τα υπέροχα εστιατόρια, μπαρ και κλαμπ! Απλά να πω ότι ακόμη και τα πιο γεμάτα λεωφορεία δεν είναι περισσότερο συνωστισμένα από το μετρό του Λονδίνου, όμως έχουν πλάκα, ενώ ο κεντρικός δρόμος δεν είναι και ο αυτοκινητόδρομος Μ25, οπότε μην αποθαρρυνθείτε από άλλες κριτικές. Στην περιοχή υπάρχει ότι χρειαστείτε μέρα και νύχτα σε απόσταση πέντε με δέκα λεπτών περπατήματος. Η Villa Maraki συνοψίζει τη Σκιάθο σε έναν όμορφο, καθαρό, φιλικό και τέλειο προορισμό διακοπών, τον οποίο και προτείνω πλήρως! Παρακαλώ σημειώστε ότι δεν έμεινα τον Ιούλιο του 2012, αλλά στην πραγματικότητα μερικά χρόνια πιο πριν, όμως η σελίδα δεν μου επέτρεπε αυτή την επιλογή.
