Glug, glug, glug...

I've always heard "glu, glu, glu" (Spanish) in a setting having to do with fish, the ocean, water, etc. Assumming that is correct (maybe the players are shown drowing or swallowing water because they can't answer or do the thing correctly), then this is an equivalent.
Could it have anything to do with drinking?
