Personally, I like Dorene's Kiss-Ass Kissoff best, but I've never seen the show, and the connotation of the phrase is far from obvious, not from the context given anyway.

In modern slang, you could use "pwned!" or "epic fail".

In regular language, you might say "bummer", "crappola", "oh, biscuit" or something of that sort -- a dumbed down version of a curse.

I don't really see a way to render the play on Эдгард Петрович's paternal name (in your particular case).

Нет, невозможно. У слова отсос нет такого значения.
Я видел несколько передач "Окон" - это действительно прикол в стиле Нагиева. Толкование правильное, я уверен.

Наиболее приближенное значение по-русски -- "облом"
В данном случае ведущий "прикалывается", пользуясь тем фактом, что отчество участника тоже "Петрович".

а возможно ли такое значение: "знакомец, сподвижник, сообщник". Потому что цитированной фразой как бы представляют этого господина. Я тоже нашла голкование на сайте slovoborg, но оно как-то не подходит. Поэтому решила спросить. В сущности я перевожу передачу с русского на болгарский.
да, я тоже подумала, что употребляет выражение из-за "совпадения" фамилии... Надо будет придумать нечто, что будет звучать для болгарского зрителя. Спасибо большое!

Yes, "otsos" has sexual connotation, but "Otsos Petrovich" has different meaning. Michail Kropotov has described it very precisely.

agree Angela Greenfield : I think (in fact I am pretty sure) that it has sexual connotation (otsosat'), but also means a person that "sucks up" to somebody (US slang), i.e. deifies that person, idolizes him/her and agrees with every word that person utters and swallows any insult.

Please, do not call ME vulgar...Well, I think it is simply the fact that different people put a different amount of sauce on a beef cutlet or on a potato croquette. Some guys make it swim in sauce. Maybe it is the same as the difference between people who can enjoy vulgarity in the mentioned film. All of us think "within the frame of our own vulgarity".
