In this context "Compensation will not be paid for insurance claims against loss of life or property" ?? Right - I want to be sure it isn't intimating that the item cannot replace "loss" in its deeper sense - as opposed to literal compensation!

Admittedly, I'm not an expert at legal stuff, but this one looks quite straightforward. The original says: "It does not replace (separate) life and general incurance", i.e. these will have to be issued separatley. I think...
