Advances against invoices
Normally banks provide loans to companies against future collections, as demonstrated by invoices issued. The bank gets repaid when the invoice is paid, usually through a transfer in the account held by the company with the lender.

: It's a line of credit against invoices, which you must present to the bank. The bank then advances funds, usually 80% of the invoices to be collected. Naturally, the charge you interest on the amount they've advanced.

: Got the wrong spin on "fido" here! It's a line of credit, although obviously the bank "trusts" it will get the money. :)

loans against receivables
although I originally agreed with loans against invoices, it then occurred to me that the better translation would be loans against the receivable (trade debtor) created by issuing the invoice. That expression would be more common in an English speaking bank. "Loans against debtors" is US English the UK equivalent would be "loans against debtors".

accounts receivable financing

I am not sure, but this could be *accounts receiveable (based) credit line/financing*
"Obtaining the fast cash or business credit line you need. The Invoices to your customers for goods delivered or services rendered (accounts receivable) can be converted into a "credit line" from which you may draw cash".

: It does sound as if it is some kind of cashflow measure.

credit factoring
this is what it is called. Normally in the UK, nearly all banks have subsidiaries that are factoring houses and solely deal in advancing credit against invoices. They also provide the service of invoice chasing. Very nice too, as it is in their best interests to get the money in !. Since Italian Banks are smaller they do this credit factoring buiness as a normal branch activity for most small companies or self-employed professionals.
I have this from my sister who works for HSBC.

Looking at HSBC - they have used the consumer friendly words \'Invoice
Finance\' as a lay term that will be understood by the business customer.
However as I say people in the business call it credit factoring - I suppose
it depends in which context you are using the term and who you are
addressing!!
An after thought.
