Why does it say "superano"? That means "exceeds", doesn't it? If it exceeds two digits, it must be three, but we wouldn't say "triple-digit increases" - we'd say "increased by more than 100%", or just "more than doubled". Or is it possible that "superano" just means "got into" double figures? Is there something odd about the Italian? What do you think as an Italian speaker, Franco?

Maybe it's my engineering background... Maybe it's because of my engineering studies, but an incremental change isn't always a 'rise' or an 'increase.' Of course, given the context of the whole translation piece, I understand it's about cost increases. Still, I'd be careful to have 'incrementi' end up in a glossary as 'increases.' [now I can relax]

"incrementi" can mean "gains" (also "increases", but to my ear "gains" sounds more natural here - however, I've offered two versions of the sentence below, using both terms)) - see Oxford-Paravia unabridged.

A couple of examples of English usage of the suggested phrase:

low conf. because not my field, but this is a phrase I've heard often

depends how you put the preceding part of the sentence

But there are some big differences between what's happening to the market and how well underpinned the market is now, compared to what happened, for example, at the crash in the early 1990's, when actually there were some very fundamental problems with the economy, and inflation was very much higher at that time - it actually went into double figures, interest rates had to be raised sharply and we did see interest rates actually double over a very short period (just over a year) - and the economy went into recession and we had big rises in unemployment.
