Italiano term
manipolatore a bandiera
Da Italiano a Inglese
Tecnico/Meccanico
Meccanica/Ingegneria meccanica
welding machines
Sorry no other context - it's a type of welding manipulator but I can't find any references for flag manipulator (from the photo I have, it seems to have the boom on only one side of the mast).

Hi JulesH
The standard translatin for "a bandiera" is "cantilevered", meaning that the unit in question is physically supported at just one side (like a flag) rather than being the gantry type arrangement typically adopted for manipulators to provide the maximum freedom of movement and stability.
Cheers
Derek
