Hi, sorry, it's a contract for General Conditions for Purchasing contract. The preceding sentence is:
Il Fornitore ha l'onere di verificare la corrispindenza dei disegni e/o specifiche tecniche di Y eventualment gia' in suo possesso con quelli indicati nell'ordine di acquisto di Y.

Put more clearly, I think this is the message that they are trying to get across:

In the event that the documentation reviewed does not correspond, XXX shall request the updated documentation from Y.

revision index

The contract establishes the parameter for the conformity of the product to the plans that the manufacturer needs to follow.
When the product is revised to determine how close it is to what is expected, there are indexes to establish the tollerance percentage of variance between what is wanted and what is manufactured.

According to the added text you posted, the product has to meet its original specifications (that the supplier is aware of and was contracted to provid) . If the product is different in any way from the original that was accepted as having met the specs. a revison index must indicate the history of changes. Thus XXX will request Y (the supplier) to provide new, updated documentation.
The revision index is one of the documents that are part of the contract and part of the documentation that must be reviewed to accept any change.

Machines are always being modified and improved (revisione del modello) so new versions are always coming out. When you order parts you must use the documents and drawings for the right version of the product.
