Kimberly Wastler Apr 8, 2008:
Hi! I've recently done quite a few coffee machine translations and you need to be careful here! Ivana's note is right. Capsules are PLASTIC encased and must be perforated. PODS are usually soft, wrapped in paper like a teabag.

NB - pods are the "soft" capsules - you can use capsule or pod depending on the specific type of "cialda"

thanx maryrose!
agree Olga Buongiorno : I agree. There are two kinds of "cialde". 1) Coffee capsule where coffee is into small hard capsules 2)paper coffee pods where coffee in wrapped into a special kind of paper http://www.esesystem.com/eng/index.php. Translation depends on the coff. mach.

Waffles OR wafers

I think this is what is meant since cialda does not mean capsule.

After further research, it looks like the marketing strategy here has changed since the last time I did coffee translations, resulting in both pods (which I believe at one time we Americans called "filters" and capsules). Better ask the client...
