How would you translate this word?

Nationality? - I would expect ישראלי.
Ethnicity? - How can it be changed?
Confession? - There is a דת section in the document.

Thank you in advance.

Nationality

This is how I always translate it. The Ministry of the Interior in Israel is not good in languages. The same goes with the police: The Israel police instead of the Israeli Police. The Israel Football assocation (why not the Israeli F.A). We are a famous nation of linguists. Didn't you know that?

agree Textpertise : The illogicality of this perplexes any new immigrant or temporary resident who ever even thinks about it. But that is the official translation.
