This comes from a set of French patent claims:

"degraissage du substrat a raide d'une solution alcaline ..."

Is "à raide de" a variant of "à l'aide de"? I can't find it in any references, but that would make sense in context.

Thanks for the confirmation of what I originally suspected. It seemed an unlikely typo, though, given the configuration of the standard keyboard. I also found plenty of Google pages using "a raide de."

I will assume that this must have been a mistranscription.
