French term or phrase: acuité visuelle : 8/10, 1/20, 1/10
I already know that the US equivalent of French 10/10 visual acuity is 20/20. I'm only looking for the US equivalents of the French 8/10, 1/20 and 1/10 as well as "0,8 œil droit".

The context is a writ of summons which will be sent to a retinologist being sued by a patient (her vision decreased significantly due to treatment administered).

visual acuity: 20/25, 20/400, 20/200 or 0.8, 0.05, 0.1
Explanation:
If you wish to express visual acuity as per the expression 20/x vision, then you should know that solving the fraction 20/x gives a decimal number, which is the standard used in most European countries (EN ISO 8596).
From that you can rearrange the equation so that if you want to find the "x" for 20/"x" vision and you have the visual acuity in the form "a/b", then x= 20 * b / a.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks a million Duncan - I also have a US colleague who has just concurred with your answer. Thank goodness for math whizzes such as yourself! Further down in the same document, I've just come across the following sentence "Mme. X DUBERTRAND a appris qu’elle présentait une acuité visuelle à 0,8 œil droit (US = 20/25) et 1/20 œil gauche (US = 20/400), non améliorable avec correction d’une myopie de -4,00 œil droit gauche". I've already added in your conversions, but have no idea how to convert the -4 to the US equivalent. I'm sure you're laughing at me by this time, but do you know the answer?
