L'espressione compare in un powerpoint scritto in maniera molto schematica. Si sta parlando di due teorie opposta di vendita dei prodotti (capi d'abbigliamento): la teoria del "more is more" e quella del "less is more".
More is more: breadth vs. depth // Less is more: depth vs. breadth

Pensavo a una cosa tipo gamma vs. specificità del prodotto ma non mi piace come soluzione... anche perché gamma/varietà o simili hanno tutti un connotato positivo e qui, mi pare di capire, si voglia sottolineare che con il more is more si tende a offrire tantissimi prodotti la cui qualità però è piuttosto scarsa.

quantita'vs. qualita'
more is more: breadth vs. depth = quantita' vs. qualita' Limitandosi ad un conto (numerico) di quanto c'e', ce n'e di piu' (more is more). E' una questione strettamente numerica.
depth vs. breath = qualita' vs. quantita' Essendo la qualita' migliore c'e' di piu' (more) ma numericamente c'e' di meno. E' una questione di qualita'.

The text juxtaposes lots of products with less variety (sizes, colors, etc) to choose from TO fewer products with more variety (sizes, colors etc) to choose from. Dandamesh's comment is very valid.
So it would be more accurate to say "Quantita' vs. Varieta'" and vice versa
depth vs. breath = qualita' vs. quantita' Essendo la qualita' migliore c'e' di piu' (more) ma numericamente c'e' di meno. E' una questione di qualita'.

varietà vs. qualità
lo offro in alternativa a qualità/quantità che era la mia scelta prioritaria ed anche più logica unicamente per il fatto che ho visto che tutti e tre i termini quantità, varietà e qualità ricorrono spesso insieme e denotano l'assortimento
